Weekend “Wee”deos, Episode 9: Indian Olympics Ad

Published by SABAsearch under Videos, World

Hey everyone!  Welcome back to Weekend Weedeos!  On this beautiful August 16th afternoon, we bring you an ad clip that we recently saw on TV while watching the olympics.

General Electric, one of the biggest electronic manufacturers in the world, aired an ad that hit on a few major topics as they relate to India.  The ad features an Indian doctor from the US who travels to india to deliver a travel size EKG (Echocardiogram) machine.  The doctor travels by plane, bus, and bike to reach a small rural village in India, where an elederly man is getting checked.  The US doctor introduces the small EKG machine, which provides a new sense of light and hope for the elderly man.

The ad is a little humorous, but packs a big punch.  It shows how much is still needed in the rural villages of India, but it also shows how technology is coming to the rescue.  I think GE definitely touched a lot of South Asians with this ad.  Take a look and let us know what you think:

Have a great weekend watching the olympics!
