Weekend “Wee”deos, Episode 12: Atlantis Dubai Grand Opening
Welcome back to Weekend “Wee”deos! We hope you’re having a grand weekend!
This weekend, we feature a video coming to us from the amazing city of Dubai. For those who have been to Dubai, you know the city offers things that are unimagineable. The tallest building the world, the most luxurious hotel in the world, and now…Atlantis Palm.
Just recently, Dubai unveiled its newest luxury hotel: Atlantis Palm (located on Palm Island). This hotel is another one of Dubai’s 7 star luxury hotels. And to introduce the grand opening of the hotel in style, the city of Dubai hired the folks who coordinated the 2008 Beijing Olympics opening ceremony. The price tag: 40 million dollars! India’s very own Priyanka Chopra served as the “Queen of Atlantis” for the evening!

I think Dubai is gearing up to bring in the Olympics to the Middle East for 2012 from London. Or else why would any country splash so exorbitantly on an opening ceremony. I think Dubai has started to believe that it has the financial muscle to stage the games in a better way compared to recession hit UK.
honestly that is the most amazing fireworks ever. dubai is the place to be!
