Look out for these Scams!
Be aware!!! Times are tough and people will find all kinds of ways to scam people.
IRS Scam - Do not fall for any phone calls where you might hear “This is the IRS and we want to verify your bank account information”, or “You have not yet cashed your check etc.”. The IRS NEVER calls anyone, any and all correspondence are done via mail not by phone. This is a scam to get your account information.
IDProcs.com Scam - Please keep a close eye on your back account statements. If you see any charges from IDProcs.com, please notify your bank ASAP. These transactions are made by IDProcs.com and are in the amount of $31.98 to $149.95.

these people rip me off! and i want to know how do i get my money back?
There is another scam that I recently was exposed to. A lady called my phone and said that she was stuck on the side of the road, and needed to call her husband. She said she had used her last quarter and accidentally called me. therefore, she asked if I could call her husband and give him the location where she was. She asked that I dial a *72 before his number to reach directly to his extension at work.
Beware - This is the Jailhouse scam! It allows the people in jail to use your phone as a FREE calling card. You get stuck with the bills. I had to go through the hassles of getting all of these charges taken off my bill.
Kimberly,
You have to notify your bank about these fraud charges. They (Bank) will have you fill out paperwork and they should give you credit back. I have had this happen to me and when I try to call IDProcs.com I just get the run around. I had to actually close out my bank acct. and re open another one. It sucks but to be on the safe side I had to do it.
It’s amazing how so many people think they’re scammed when in fact the only thing to blame is their carelessness. How can you assume that you’ve been ripped off? The site says clearly what the terms and conditions are. It says clearly what those charges are for. Take time to read and understand it, will you?
“…YOU have authorized us to debit YOUR bank account according to the IDENTITY THEFT PROTECTION PLAN TERMS AND CONDITIONS and CANCELLATION POLICY in the amount of $31.98 per month until YOU cancel.”
That’s part of the disclaimer posted on the site. I think it’s very clear what the $31.98 is for. It’s impossible to miss it since it’s written in bold. Don’t blame the company. It’s quite obvious whose fault it really is.
Some people tend to click buttons without even thinking what they’re getting themselves into. The terms and conditions aren’t even that long, but people still don’t think it’s worth their time to read it. This is a bad case of negligence. Apparently, it’s the customers fault but they still blame the establishment. Now that it’s happened to you, I hope you learn your lesson.
Consumers should also be protected in some fashion against ambiguous contract agreements such as these. When somebody gives you money without knowing it, and you accept that money, it’s still considered stealing.
IDprocs.com may be acting legally, but it’s definitely acting unethically.
The case with IDProcs.com isn’t a scam. Look at the site and read the terms and conditions. It’s stated clearly what those charges are for. You guys just need to exercise thorough reading and understanding.
Yes, the site has the terms and conditions posted on the front page. You probably didn’t read them, or you wouldn’t be wondering what the amount is for or what the plan is all about.
I checked the site and everything that should be taken into consideration are written in bold fonts. I don’t think it’s a scam, since it’s spelled out what’s going to be charged on you. Don’t blame the company for your own negligence.
I”m not the smartest guy in the world…but why does it seem like IDprocs has these folks defending the site so much????
Even if some customers think its confusing, then you should fix it!
just my thoughts…
You know why? Because it’s obviously not the company’s fault! And what are you going on about how the company should fix it? Have you been to the site, anyway? The terms are clear for everyone to understand! Hey, you can’t blame me if these people aren’t smartest in the world, though. But you guys could use a little effort to read, you know. That would save you a lot of problems.
