Happy Leap Day!

The calendar only has a February 29 every four years. An easy way to remember this is that it is usually the same year as the presidential elections. Here are some leap year facts that you might find interesting:

  • Leap years have 366 days, while there are normally 365 days.
  • If the year is divisible by four, then it is a leap year.
    • Out of these years, if it is divisible by 100, it is NOT a leap year.
    • But, if it is divisible by 400, it is a leap year.
    • Example: 1800, 1900, 2200 are not leap years. 2000 and 2400 are.

  • 1468 – Pope Paul III
  • 1924 – Al Rosen (Baseball player)
  • 1960 – Tony Robbins (Motivational speaker)
  • 1972 – Antonio Sabato Jr. (Actor)
  • 1976 – Ja Rule (Rapper)
  • 1980 – Chris Conley (Musician)
  • Superman! (comic book character)
